Now, we’re looking for a driven Carrier Sales Manager to help us strengthen and expand our carrier network - and take our service to the next level.
The Carrier Sales Manager (CSM) plays a pivotal role in overseeing the performance and development of the company’s core carrier portfolio, including TL and LTL carriers.

WHAT WE NEED TO SEE:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Logistics, Supply Chain, Business or a related field
  • Three (3) years minimum carrier sales experience required
  • One (1) year minimum customer service experience required
  • Strong understanding of carrier relationship and performance management
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Experience with CRM software; Salesforce preferred
  • Bilingual a plus

Responsibilities
  • Source new carriers, build deeper existing carrier relationships, and drive carrier outreach to improve client services by creating long-term, trusted partnerships
  • Develop routing guides and dedicated lane programs to secure predictable capacity and rates.
  • Negotiate rates and capacity commitments with carriers, balancing cost, service, and margin.
  • Regularly check-in with core carriers, conducts regular surveys on company performance, and maintains a carrier scorecard to push continuous improvements
  • Conduct quarterly Lane Analysis for top accounts to review carrier pool and routing guide strategy
  • Anticipate future freight needs based on sales forecasts, seasonality, and market trends.
  • Use tools like DAT, Truckstop, or FreightWaves SONAR for benchmarking and to monitor spot and contract rate trends across regions and equipment types.
  • Analyze carrier data to assist in identifying savings opportunities with carriers
  • Analyze sourcing outcomes (margin, carrier utilization, service performance).
  • Identify gaps in coverage or over-reliance on certain carriers.
  • Implement process improvements to reduce costs or improve carrier loyalty.
