Description

The Cart Delivery Driver operates a company pickup truck with a 16-foot trailer equipped with a drop-down ramp. In this role, you’ll be responsible for loading, delivering, collecting, repairing, and unloading residential roll carts at customer locations. This is an entry-level, non-CDL driving role. Responsibilities * To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned. * Operates vehicle in accordance with OSHA. (Occupational and Safety Health Act) and DOT (Department of Transportation) requirements, as well as all local, municipal, state, and federal laws. * Performs pre-and post-trip inspections of assigned equipment and documents checks on standard DVIR (Driver Vehicle Inspection Report). * Immediately report any unsafe situations or service-related issues to the route Manager or Dispatch. * Participates in all scheduled training programs, briefings, and meetings required by Live Oak Environmental or the Route Manager. * Works closely with Route Managers to improve route efficiencies and identify best practices. * Notifies the Route Manager of any incidents, accidents, injuries, or property damage. * Notifies Route Manager or Dispatch of service interruptions, including blocked containers, closed lots, street, alleyways, or potential safety hazards. * Communicates customer requests to the Route Manager or Dispatch. * Frequently enters and exits both the cab and trailer to manually/physically deliver new empty roll carts and collect material-loaded roll carts weighing in excess of 65 pounds. * Works daily with the routing team and dispatchers to ensure efficient sequential orders for delivery and removals. * Works daily with the local on-site cart maintenance team to ensure proper cart inventory needs. * Completes and submits customer tickets as required, using on-board computer technology. * Completes basic field service repairs on carts, such as lid swaps and axle/wheel repairs. * Completes site evaluations to ensure locations are conducive for safe and proper servicing. * Delivers carts on the customer’s property in a manner that ensures safe and easy recovery by the customer. * Follows route assignments as directed and completes end-of-day documentation and the check-out process. * Performs all duties as scheduled by the Route Manager or Dispatch and assists other drivers as directed to meet customer needs.
