Description

The Office of the Public Guardian is looking for a dedicated individual to fill a temporary Case Aide position in our Grande Prairie office.
As a Case Aide you will perform comprehensive services to support the effective and efficient administration of the Office of the Public Guardian and Trustee (OPGT), functioning within the parameters of applicable government and ministry legislation, regulations (Adult Guardianship and Trusteeship Act (AGTA), Personal Directives Act (PDA), and Mental Health Act), policies, directives, and guidelines.
This position is critical in the OPGT administrative involvement with the Support to Court process, which includes being a primary contact for the Review Officer and the Clerk of the Court, Court of King’s Bench, Surrogate Matters.
As a first point of contact for the OPGT, you will provide exceptional customer service and information to Albertans and stakeholders in relation to OPGT services, tools, and support for vulnerable Albertans. This contact may be in person, over the phone or via email.
As a Case Aide you will provides administrative and project coordination services essential to the effective and efficient operation of the OPGT regional offices. You will contribute to the development, implementation, and enhancement of associated Guardianship processes and procedures, and participate in initiatives to support provincial consistency.
The successful applicant must possess good communication, organization and time management skills, and strong computer skills. Your resume must clearly outline how your administrative experience supports working in a fast-paced environment. Equivalencies of education, training and experience will be considered. Strong client services skills – communication and listening skills including ability to assess needs of applicants and provide information as appropriate

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma plus two years of administrative experience.
