Description

Seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Case Assistant to provide administrative and visual assistance to two visually impaired Career Service Counselors. This role focuses on using the MassAbility case management system to handle electronic documentation and support the counselors with their daily tasks under their direction.

  • Type: 3 months Contract
  • Schedule: Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday for 7.5 hours each day (22.5 hours/week)

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Willingness and ability to learn the MassAbility system used by the Massachusetts Rehabilitation Commission.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook, and virtual meeting platforms such as Zoom and MS Teams.
  • Strong Excel experience i.e. Graphs, Formulas, Pivot tables, conditional formatting, Conditional formatting, data validation.
  • Strong PowerPoint experience with creating graphs, presentations, ability to use transitions and animations.
  • Strong verbal communication skills, with the ability to read and clearly relay on-screen content.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions with accuracy.
  • Self-motivated, well-organized, and able to work independently.
  • Positive, collaborative, and supportive attitude.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Draft documents and correspondence within the MassAbility case management system.
  • Assess financial needs and initiate purchase and contract orders.
  • Enter and maintain accurate case notes.
  • Assist in developing service plans and managing electronic records.
  • Prepare and process forms, including tuition waiver letters, referral forms, and MBTA TAP (Transportation Access Pass) letters.
  • Organize and maintain electronic case files for efficient access.
  • Provide visual assistance as needed
