Summary: Responsible for ensuring clients leave treatment with a solid aftercare plan, safe housing, and further needed treatment. Assist in meeting overall census and budget goals. Pay: $25-$29 Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Provides quality direct and indirect client care to individuals with substance abuse or chemical dependency problems. Assesses clients' continuing care/referral needs. Establishes rapport with clients. Obtains the necessary information and releases from clients, family, referral sources, and other appropriate resources. Makes referrals to Mental Health and Drug & Alcohol facilities for continuing care. Sets up Halfway House interviews and placements. Works closely with counselors and members of the multi-disciplinary team. Attends and participates in program, clinical, and administrative meetings. Actively supports the facility’s ongoing referral program. Participates in mandatory orientation and training activities. Other duties as assigned. Education, Licensure, & Experience: ADT certificate or active licensure to provide SUD services in Maryland Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Sound clinical judgment and excellent clinical skills. Ability to problem-solve by gathering and analyzing information. Ability to handle a crisis situation and react appropriately. A working knowledge of federal and state standards as well as regulating body standards. Work Environment: The noise level in the work environment is usually moderately quiet & indoors. This position may require local travel. This position will be scheduled based on operational need & may be required to provide own transportation. The incumbent may be exposed to viruses, diseases, and/or infections from clients in the work environment. The incumbent may be exposed to traumatic situations (i.e. psychiatric).
