Description

EDUCATION AND RESEARCH

  • Expert analysis using predictive and mathematical modeling (e.g. forecasting clinical volumes). - Educates staff and management on data quality issues and the impact on the OCCI, OCDM and MIS reporting, including any potential funding impact - Education of stakeholders regarding Health System Funding Reform, Quality Improvement Plan, and other clinical methodologies, including recommendations to enhance quality of care and optimize funding performance.
  • Knowledge transfer / exchange strategies with internal and external leaders regarding interpretation of reports and utilization of various business intelligence technologies (e.g. scorecards, SharePoint portals, Microsoft cubes, etc.) to enhance decision making.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Successful completion of a Undergraduate Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Health, Accounting, Business Administration or college diploma equivalent as acceptable by the hospital.
  • Minimum three (3) to five (5) years of related progressive experience in a health care environment.
  • Strong understanding of OCCI methodology.
  • Experience with clinical datasets submitted to the Canadian Institute for Health Information and case costing.
  • Strong knowledge of Power BI, SQL Database, and Microsoft Excel.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in quantitative and statistical analysis.
  • Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills with all levels of staff including physicians, patient service leaders, Ministry representatives and various other internal/external client groups.
  • Advanced knowledge of MOHLTC Reporting and MIS Guidelines.
  • Advanced knowledge of HSFR / Growth Efficiency Model
  • Sound organizational, time-management, and planning skills with the ability to multi-task and meet conflicting deadlines.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

  • MIS Level 1 & Level 2 Certification - preferred
  • Advanced proficiency in Cerner, Outlook, MS Power Platform
