Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

12 Month Fixed Term - The purpose of the role is to assist the worker and employer with the claim process and provide support in the completion of relevant documents to ensure timely access to required services to support return to work and injury recovery. Candidates may also be considered for claims advisor roles in a competitive interview process.

DUTIES

It’s an exciting time at icare where no two days are the same; as a Case Management Specialist you will:

  • Develop strong customer relationships and provide a high level of customer service to all parties including workers, employers, providers, stakeholders, families and support networks.
  • Provide accurate and complete information that is consistent and easy to understand including options about any claim, entitlements, obligations and responsibilities.
  • Undertake ongoing entitlement reviews in relation to weekly payments and medical expenses.
  • Collaborate with Injury Management Specialists and Technical Specialists and other technical and support experts.
  • Assist the worker and employer with the claim process and provide support in the completion of relevant documents to ensure timely access to required services to support return to work and injury recovery.
  • Facilitate active participation of the injured worker and their employer in any return to work and recovery planning.
  • Ensure case management is in accordance with legislation and compliance guidelines.
  • Pro-actively proceed with appropriate case management to achieve the optimum outcome of early sustainable return to work for workers with reasonable claim costs.
  • Identify and contribute to processes and practices for continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Act as a point of guidance, when required, to the Claims Officers when dealing with complex cases.
