Description
The Case Manager of Employment Services is responsible for creating job opportunities and increasing the employability of homeless youth and young adults. They build relationships with employers, assist clients with job readiness, build soft skills, perform job searches, and assist in obtaining and securing internships and employment.     The Case Manager of Employment Services works to reduce employment barriers by building and maintaining strong relationships with employers, acting as a liaison between employers and clients.    FLSA Status: Non-Exempt, hourly    Union Status: Union Schedule: Monday - Friday 9am-5pm Reports To: Manager of Education and Employment Services    essential duties   Job Development  1. Research, identify and conduct outreach to potential employer partners. 2. Develop new and strengthen existing relationships with employer partnerships to create employment opportunities for homeless youth and young adults. 3. Stays current on employment trends and training.   Employment Support Services  1. Screen clients for employment readiness, conduct occupational assessments and identify barriers to employment. 2. Develop educational and employment goal plans with clients and conduct periodic progress reviews. 3. Provide career exploration and job search support.  4. Provide employment-related resources to clients such as job fairs, internet sites, job postings, short term training, etc. 5. Assist clients with identifying, applying for, and tracking employment opportunities. 6. Plan, organize and conduct employment skills workshops including resume preparation and interviewing skills. 7. Provide resources and referrals to clients for job search needs, such as interview clothing, transportation, etc. 8. Provide job coaching and post-employment support.   Data Collection, Recordkeeping and Reporting  1. Maintain updated and accurate client files. 2. Track retention services for 12 months following job placement. 3. Maintain detailed documentation and recordkeeping to meet all contract and grant requirements, outcomes, and audits. 4. Submit weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports to the Manager of Education and Employment Services as required by contracts and Friends of Youth.   Other Duties  Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job. Minimum of 2 years of relevant working experience, including supporting youth and young adults experiencing homelessness. 3. Experience in job development, job marketing and job placement. 4. Demonstrated knowledge of MS365 Power Platform.   b. Additional Requirements  1. Must satisfactorily pass criminal history check.  2. Must satisfactorily pass tuberculosis (TB) test.  3. Must have reliable transportation and a valid Washington State driver's license (or be able to obtain one by date of employment).  4. Employees and volunteers who operate their own or Friends of Youth vehicles on Friends of Youth business, must have a safe driving record as defined by Friends of Youth.  5. Employees and volunteers who operate their own vehicle(s) on Friends of Youth business must carry auto liability insurance that complies with the requirements of Friends of Youth.  6. Must successfully complete the following health certification requirements within 30 days of employment: CPR, First Aid and Bloodborne Pathogens.   We offer:  1.
