Goshen Valley Boys Ranch, a division of Goshen Valley Foundation, is looking for a Case Manager to work at our 160-acre campus located in northern Cherokee County which is home to about 40 young men in foster care. The Case Manager duties will include: Provide direction and supervision of the programs and case plans of GVBR, giving support, guidance, training, and direction to the work of the houseparents and other staff as it relates to the teaching, training, and counseling of the young men placed. Prepare case plans and conduct “staffing” of each young man, meet and work with each young man’s DFCS case manager in determining the needs and serving the best interest of each young man, while providing support to the work of the houseparents. Prepare and maintain accurate and up-to-date records of each resident, including the required and/or desired reports, written case plans, and treatment plan. Maintain liaison with the courts and various county or state agencies. Work with the Executive Director, or his designee, in providing oversight of the residences at GVBR. Screen placement applications and present applicants to the staff for placement consideration. Attend weekly planning meetings/trainings. Complete 24 hours of training annually. Complete training in Safety Care within the first 90 days of employment. Assist in providing direct placement services utilizing the preference placement forms, matching forms, etc. Attend court and case panels with clients and families as needed Complete routine documentation: ECEM, Standard Contacts, RBWO Monthly Summaries, Individual Service Plans, Intake and Discharge Paperwork. Additionally, the right Case Manager candidate will possess Communication/Interpersonal Skills. Have experience with Time and Priority Management, Planning and Organizing, and Problem Solving. Requirements Case Manager candidate requirements are: Bachelor’s degree with three years of work experience in a field closely related to social work, psychology, or counseling, and a minimum of three years experience in working with troubled youth or families, or a Bachelors Degree in a field closely related to social work, psychology, or counseling a minimum of seven years experience working with troubled youth or families. Must have basic computer skills and be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of Microsoft programs, or the like. Must be of good character, and supportive of the programs, policies, and ideals of GVF. Must be able to demonstrate the ability to provide moral, ethical, and spiritual leadership that coincides with the program and policies of GVF. Must be able to pass health, drug and background screens, possess a valid driver’s license, and be insurable by GVF’s insurance carrier.
Responsibilities
The Case Manager will provide direction and supervision for programs and case plans, supporting and training houseparents and staff in teaching and counseling young men.
