Description
SOCIAL WORKER / CASE MANAGER – BE THE ADVOCATE WHO CHANGES A LIFE YOUR WORK WILL MATTER EVERY SINGLE DAY Some young people face challenges far greater than childhood should ever hold—trauma, system involvement, emotional needs, developmental disabilities, disrupted family connections, and circumstances no child should have to navigate alone. They need someone who sees their strength. Someone who believes in their potential. Someone who will walk beside them with compassion, consistency, and hope. If this speaks to you, Spectrum invites you to bring your heart and your clinical skill to a role where you can uplift youth with intellectual and developmental disabilities and others who rely on you to show them what is possible. ---------------------------------------- ABOUT THE ROLE As a Social Worker at Spectrum, you are a core member of our mental health treatment team, providing therapeutic and case management services for youth up to age 16 in our open residential juvenile justice program. You will bring clinical insight, courage, and a trauma‑informed mindset to help youth stabilize, grow, and discover a sense of safety and possibility. Guided by an evidence‑based treatment model, you will help shape the future of young people who need steady, skilled, and compassionate support. This role is more than service—it is service with purpose. ---------------------------------------- WHY YOUR WORK MATTERS Many of the youth in our care live with combinations of trauma, intellectual or developmental disabilities, disrupted attachments, and complex emotional needs. They depend on dedicated professionals like you to: * Advocate for their voice * Guide them through healing * Help them build skills for stability and independence * Show them they are worthy of dignity, safety, and respect Your presence may be the turning point that supports a young person’s greatest transformation. ---------------------------------------- WHAT WE OFFER Your commitment deserves investment, and Spectrum is proud to support you with: * $5,000 performance‑based bonus * Quarterly retention bonuses  * BCN Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance  * Blue Cross Blue Shield Dental & Vision  * 403(b) with employer match  * $25,000 Life insurance & Short‑Term Disability  * 9 Paid Holidays (including Juneteenth)  * Paid Time Off & Paid Training * Growth and advancement opportunities  We believe in developing the people who care for others. ---------------------------------------- QUALIFICATIONS You are a strong fit for this mission‑driven role if you bring: * A Master’s degree in Counseling, Clinical Psychology, or Social Work * Michigan licensure (LLPC/LPC, LLMSW/LMSW, TLLP/LLP)  * At least two years of experience with assessment, CBT, Trauma‑Informed Care, and related interventions  * Completion of all required background clearances  Most of all, you bring compassion, steadiness, and a deep desire to serve. ---------------------------------------- OUR APPROACH: COMPASSION, SCIENCE, AND STRENGTH Spectrum uses a holistic, trauma‑informed, developmentally attuned model to meet each youth’s mental, physical, and emotional needs. Treatment is never one‑size‑fits‑all—every plan is guided by a thoughtful understanding of each youth’s unique risks, needs, strengths, culture, and lived experience. You will help young people discover what stability feels like—and what hope looks like. ---------------------------------------- YOUR NEXT STEP: ANSWER THE CALL The youth we serve are waiting for someone who sees beyond their challenges— someone who sees their potential, value, and future. If you are ready to be that person… If you are ready to serve youth with compassion and conviction… If you are ready to use your training to change lives… We invite you to apply.
