Description Help Our Seniors Move from Homelessness to Home At Central Arizona Shelter Services (CASS), we believe everyone deserves stability, dignity, and a place to call home — especially older adults who have fallen on hard times. We’re looking for a compassionate, resourceful, and driven Housing & Employment Navigator to work directly with individuals 55 and older experiencing homelessness, helping them move toward stable housing, employment opportunities, and long-term independence. What You’ll Do In this role, you’ll be a guide, advocate, and connector for clients navigating one of the most important transitions of their lives. You’ll: Build customized housing plans with clients based on their needs and goals Conduct intakes and help clients create actionable case plans Connect clients to housing providers and remove barriers to stable housing Help job-ready clients pursue employment opportunities Provide practical supports like transportation assistance, clothing resources, and job readiness tools Help client's complete paperwork and navigate referrals and services Track progress, maintain case records, and support program reporting Share client success stories that show the real impact of our work You’ll meet weekly with clients, advocate for them across services, and help them stay on track toward housing and self-sufficiency. Community Connection & Growth You’ll also: • Connect clients with job training and life skills programs • Build relationships with community partners and service providers • Help onboard and support new staff members • Occasionally transport clients to critical appointments • Strengthen partnerships across campus programs Who You Are You might be perfect for this role if you: Enjoy working directly with people and helping them succeed Stay calm and solution-focused in challenging situations Communicate clearly and compassionately Are organized and comfortable managing documentation and data systems Believe in meeting people where they are and helping them move forward Experience in case management, housing services, employment services, or social services is a strong plus. Work Environment Most work happens in a professional office setting, with occasional off-site events and community visits. You’ll be active throughout the day, moving around campus and working closely with clients and partners. Schedule This is a full-time position; Wed- Sat 7 AM - 6 PM Four (4) ten-hour shifts Occasional evenings or weekends may be needed based on client and program needs. Travel is primarily local. Requirements Required: 1. Associate degree in social or behavioral science or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience directly related to human services 2. Strong knowledge of community resources. 3. Possess or have the ability to obtain a State of Arizona Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card. 4. Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook; highly accurate data entry skills. 5. Arizona Driver’s License and a clean driving record for the last 3 years free of traffic/moving violations, suspensions and/or revocations. 6. Must pass Behind-the-wheel certification within 3 days of employment. 7. CPR-First Aid certification within 90 days of employment. 8. Naloxone (Narcan) training within 90 days of employment. Preferred: 1. Bachelor's degree in social or behavioral science or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience directly related to human services 2. Bilingual in English and Spanish
