THE ROLE
We are looking for an enthusiastic, proactive and highly motivated person to support our daily remand court case review process; prepare postal charges on behalf of officers and police staff members; and support the flow of information between Crown Prosecutors and investigation officers. The successful candidate will also provide administrative support to colleagues working within His Majesty’s Courts and Tribunals Service and the wider justice system.
The postholder must be able to dynamically assess, prioritise and process their workloads while subject to the pressure of time-critical court deadlines. The postholder will also be required to access and utilise a variety of computer systems and applications to discharge their duties.
Successful candidates will be required to support the following tasks:
PROSPECTIVE OFFICERS AND STAFF MUST BE HELD TO A HIGHER STANDARD OF BEHAVIOUR AND ACCOUNTABILITY THAN MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC, AND THAT THEREFORE THEIR RIGHT TO PRIVACY CAN BE FETTERED IN CERTAIN CIRCUMSTANCES. THIS IS TO ENSURE THAT MEMBERS OF THE POLICE ARE FULLY AWARE AND ACCOUNTABLE FOR THE UNIQUE POWERS ENTRUSTED TO THEM AND THE STANDARDS OF PROFESSIONAL BEHAVIOUR THEY SWEAR TO UPHOLD.
Hours: The hours of work are 36.5hrs a week at times agreed by management Monday to Friday. Duties may vary according to local operational needs.
Location: Wednesfiled Police Station - Successful candidates will be required to work from their bases station and may be asked to work from other locations across the local policing area. A laptop will be provided to enable agile working.
Vetting: Successful applicants will be required to pass Recruitment Vetting and Counter Terrorism Clearance scrutiny prior to commencing their role, this will include a full background & financial disclosure as part of the vetting process.
Medical: Appointment to this role will be dependent upon successfully medical checks, which may include a drugs test and if required a fitness test.
