Case Sealers serve as an additional quality checkpoint for customer product as they prepare cases for shipping and help to safeguard customer product is received per customer instructions / expectations.    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES includes but not limited to the following: * Ensure job tickets are printed and at work station at the beginning of the shift * Thoroughly read all job tickets for special instructions, pallets, caps, etc.  * Accurately match the label on the first case with the associated job ticket and the job # and verify the correct skid for placement * Weigh the initial case of each job and ensure cases are stacked neatly on skids as instructed on the label (not based on the size of the case) * Verify quantity of cases at the conclusion of each job and effectively communicate with Quality Control tech, Operators, Feeder Packers and the Finishing Lead to confirm the job is accurate or report any discrepancies (over or short) * Enter the amount of cases in the shop floor computer and verify that cases match the job ticket instructions; verify accuracy for load tags * Confirm that packer initials or stamp is present on each case * Actively work to keep the plant floor and work area clean including emptying of rag cans, sweeping area and clearing any safety hazards or trash   * Perform all jobs in a safe and efficient manner and report any unsafe conditions to the supervisor; actively seek opportunities to engage in improving safe working conditions for the plant * Openly adapt to changes in work procedures or new policies which would add to the efficiency and safety of the operation * Continuously seek opportunities to improve work processes that would result in better efficiencies, improved production and/or improved quality * Successfully complete the forklift training program provided by the Safety team * Follow all instructions and notify the supervisor if you have any problems that would result in a safety issue or lost production * Assist with packing / scrapping as needed and actively engage in opportunities to support the team    QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE): * High School Diploma or GED required; must be able to effectively read and write English * 2+ years related warehouse / shipping / production experience and/or training, or combination of education and experience; forklift experience is a plus  * Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; may have to lift up to and in excess of 100 pounds with the help of others     AUTHORITY: Must have the ability to lead others that has been placed with them to execute the demands of the cutting operation efficiently and to respond to oral instructions from the supervisor and other written instructions.   LANGUAGE SKILLS: Must have the ability to read and understand documents, letters, etc. and write legibly in English.
