  The opportunity
  The Night Cafe is a vital support service for young people aged 12 to 25 who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness. The service assists young people with a safe, welcoming space to rest or connect with others and a sense of community.
  In this position you’ll provide high-quality, person-centred support to young people to identify strengths and needs, assist with setting and achieving goals, provide case work support, stakeholder engagement and sourcing appropriate support services. You will also support volunteers to provide practical and meaningful engagement with the young people accessing the service. Flexible shifts will be presented during both office hours and evenings as required.

What you will bring

• Sound experience in casework and case management
• Strong cultural competence and the ability to work respectfully with people from diverse backgrounds
• Demonstrated ability to assess complex needs, conduct risk assessments, and develop effective case and safety plans
• Proven capacity to advocate, collaborate, and network across sectors
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
• An understanding of the complex needs of children and young people
• Current, employee Working with Children Check and drivers licence
• The ability to both network and share knowledge with volunteers and stakeholders
• Adaptability to an evolving landscape of client and volunteer needs

This role is covered by the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Award - Level 4, hourly rate from $44.58 + casual loading
