Case Officer (m/f/d) Immigration Law.
The Lower Saxony State Reception Authority, with over 850 employees, handles the affairs of asylum seekers. This includes, among other things, reception, accommodation, social support, and distribution to municipalities in Lower Saxony. We also provide advice on all immigration law issues and are responsible statewide for return procedures and the accelerated skilled worker procedure.
Your tasks will include:
- General case management in immigration and asylum procedure law
- Reviewing and deciding on the commencement of employment after examining the submitted documents
- Reviewing and examining applications for residence permits and issuing decisions
- Reviewing and deciding on measures to terminate residency,
- Issuance of deportation orders and threats of deportation, including the imposition of entry and residence bans.
- Issuance of immigration-related orders and conditions
- Review of abusive paternity acknowledgments, including hearings of the parties involved. You have a qualification as: * Administrative Assistant, * Office Communication Specialist, or Office Management Assistant with a public-sector employer * or the first level of the civil service training course/first level of the administrative training course * alternatively, you have a successfully completed university degree (Bachelor's/Diploma) in public administration, political science, or economics, or a university degree in a law program completed with the first state examination * already tenured civil servants must have the career qualification for the second entry-level position in career group 1, specialization "General Services" * Independent, responsible, and self-reliant work style * Organizational skills, reliability, and a confident manner * Openness to people from other cultural backgrounds, as well as cooperation and teamwork skills * Ideally, practical professional experience in public administration, knowledge of administrative and procedural law, immigration and asylum law, and legal application.
