Description
The Old Colony Y Community Based Program is seeking a goal-oriented, dependable, creative, and energetic individual with a strong commitment to youth development, a strength-based framework of treatment, and a desire to enrich the lives Of DCF and DMH referred youth and their families .The successful candidate for this position will also have the ability to assist in developing program policies and practices, and to lead staff in facilitating mentoring services that are safe, healthy, therapeutic, and educational for all consumers served. An important function of this role is to guide mentoring staff in assisting enrolled youth, parents, and their family unit to achieve improved therapeutic outcomes and obtain needed resources in their local areas. Qualifications Position requires a CORI/SORI check, a valid driver's license, proof of car insurance, clean driving record, and use of personal vehicle to complete daily work travel. Mileage reimbursement is provided. Educational requirement of a Bachelor's degree in human services or related field with a minimum of 1 year of human services experience or Associates degree in human services with 4 years of human service experience. Excellent written skills, strong organizational skills, the ability to manage a variety of tasks in the office and in the community, and basic computer skills are essential to the daily job functions.
Responsibilities
This role involves guiding mentoring staff to help enrolled youth, parents, and families achieve improved therapeutic outcomes and secure necessary local resources. The coordinator will also assist in developing program policies and leading staff in facilitating safe, healthy, therapeutic, and educational mentoring services.
