THE QUALIFIED CASEWORK FIELD COACH WILL:

• Implement the Child Welfare Skills-based Coaching Model incorporating the Pennsylvania Child Welfare Guiding Principles. The field coach will create records for each caseworker participating.
• Meet with each caseworker individually to discuss their background, training needs, strengths, areas in need of improvement, and will develop a coaching plan.
• Observe caseworkers in the field, offer guidance, hints, and demonstrations, allowing time for reflection and feedback. The field coach may suggest additional readings or training.
• Group instruction will be conducted once a week to teach tangible skills such as report writing and case planning, and to practice soft skills. Simulation training will also occur in a group format.

THE QUALIFIED CASEWORK FIELD COACH WILL HAVE:

• Master’s Degree. Preferred areas of study include social work, criminal justice, psychology, or related field and a minimum of one (1) year direct care experience in child welfare.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Background in Mental Health required.
• Valid driver’s license, auto insurance and access to a vehicle.
• Pass current, applicable clearances.
• Pass pre-employment, post-offer drug screening.
• Ability to work non-traditional hours including evenings and weekends.
