CASH APPLICATION SPECIALIST (REMOTE)

We’re seeking a detail oriented Cash Application Specialist to join our healthcare revenue cycle team. In this fully remote role, you’ll be responsible for processing and reconciling payments, including lockbox deposits, EFTs, ERAs, and manual cash entries.
This is a fully remote position offering stability and opportunities to grow your skills in healthcare finance and payment posting.

• Accurately process and reconcile daily lockbox, EFT, ERA, and manual cash deposits
• Ensure all monthly, weekly, and daily cash application deadlines are met
• Import and post electronic funds and remittances into the QMS billing system
• Post exception-based payments from Explanation of Benefits (EOBs)
• Allocate payments, denials, Medicare coinsurance, and deductibles correctly
• Prepare overpayment and refund packages
• Complete month-end balancing and reconciliation
• Process auto and correction reposts, offsets, and other adjustments
• Communicate with internal departments to resolve posting discrepancies
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and handle patient information securely
