Job Title: Cash Applications Specialist Job Description We are seeking a Cash Applications Specialist who will be responsible for processing invoices daily through SAP, managing credit card settlements, freight costs, and handling charges. The role involves mailing out invoices daily, downloading daily check batches from the bank and SAP, and correctly applying cash to customer accounts while verifying the cash application against customer remittance. The specialist will also provide check and remittance backup to Credit Representatives regarding deductions taken. Effective communication with related departments such as Customer Care and Sales is essential. You will assist with and support the creation, development, and implementation of processes and procedures, while maintaining compliance by protecting organizational assets and ensuring privacy and confidentiality. A proactive approach to workplace safety, including participation in Safety Programs, initiatives, and investigations, is expected. Responsibilities Process daily invoices through SAP, including credit card settlements, freight costs, and handling charges. Mail out all invoices daily. Download daily check batches from the bank and SAP; accurately apply cash to customer accounts and verify cash application against customer remittance. Provide check and remittance backup for Credit Representatives on deductions taken. Communicate effectively with related departments, such as Customer Care and Sales. Assist with the creation, development, and implementation of processes and procedures. Maintain privacy and confidentiality of information and protect organizational assets. Understand workplace hazards and proactively prevent and report hazards or injuries. Participate in Safety Programs, initiatives, and investigations. Demonstrate the organization's core values of Integrity and Customer Responsiveness. Essential Skills 2+ years of Cash Applications experience or an Associate's Degree with light accounting experience. Experience with invoice processing, accounts receivable, and cash application. Additional Skills & Qualifications 2+ years of experience with SAP is preferred. Work Environment You will train in the office for the first two weeks and then transition to a hybrid schedule, working in the office on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Our newly opened office features a great coffee machine and a modern work environment. Employees receive 20 flex days a year to work from home as needed, outside of the regular in-office schedule. The team is led by a supportive manager who values flexibility and aims to provide a positive work experience. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Eden Prairie, MN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $27.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
