Description

Position Summary:
Responsible for all activities in the Default Cash and Invoicing department, including maintaining strong controls over the application of funds and payment of invoices. Collaborates with multiple departments within loanDepot and external third parties. Analyzes loans through ICE Director 7 and ICE Invoicing to ensure compliance with company, investor, and regulatory guidelines. Researches and resolves questions in an efficient and professional manner. This position ensures the performance of all duties in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures, all U.S. state and federal laws and regulations, wherein the company operates.

Responsibilities:

  • Plays a critical role in providing posting instructions to Payment Administration for default transactions including payments, payoffs, and claim funds received.
  • Provides Ginnie Mae Buyout instructions for Investor Reporting.
  • Performs 2nd Lien Equity Analysis on delinquent loans.
  • Responsible for default charge-off processes.
  • Completes Default Cash tasks and exceptions timely, including running reports, managing timelines, and communicating with internal departments.
  • Maintains strong working relationships with internal departments to resolve open items.
  • Reviews department exceptions and makes recommendations to determine the best course of action to resolve open items.
  • Handles escalated issues with the support of management.
  • Runs, interprets, and analyzes invoicing system reports and reviews department exceptions.
  • Serves as the main point of contact for invoicing exceptions and works closely with vendors, attorneys, and internal departments to ensure SLAs are met.
  • Monitors and processes invoices submitted in ICE Invoicing System and manual invoices received via email in a timely manner. Audits invoices submitted and auto approved in the ICE Invoicing System.
  • Ensures accuracy while reviewing each invoice for property approvals and supporting documentation.
  • Processes refunds received from vendors and attorneys.
  • Stays abreast of foreclosure and bankruptcy process steps within ICE LoanSphere to ensure accuracy and timeliness of invoices submitted by attorney firms.
  • Creates process documents and job aids.
  • Performs other duties and projects assigned.

Requirements:

  • High School Degree or equivalent, and a minimum of four (4) + years’ experience working in a similar field.
  • Experience with ICE Director 7 is preferred.
  • Experience with ICE Invoicing is preferred.
  • Experience with audit or review of invoices is preferred.
  • Experience in the mortgage industry with a concentration in default is preferred.
  • Must be able to work Monday-Friday 8-5pm Pacific time.

Base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay for this role is between $20.67 and $36.30/hr. Your base pay will depend on multiple individualized factors, including your job-related knowledge/skills, qualifications, experience, and market location.
