JOB SUMMARY
The Coordinator Cash Posting & Customer Service works closely with the Revenue Cycle Officer to ensure training and oversight to staff in receiving, preparing and posting receipts for Hospital and Physician services while ensuring posting accuracy of receipts and contractual allowance. Duties include maintaining a daily cashier reconciliation recap, reporting any discrepancies to management, coordinating with the accounting department the daily and monthly balancing of accounts receivable to the general ledger. Other duties include cash clearing, self-pay credit balances and unidentified accounts.
The Coordinator Cash Position & Customer Service will maintain knowledge of Hospital and Physician managed care contracts and state and federal guidelines. Duties include maintenance of policies and procedures in coordination with the Revenue Cycle Officer to ensure standard procedures are followed and will inform management of any unusual and significant issues that may affect the timely daily balancing of the accounts receivable.
The Coordinator Cash Positing & Customer Service is responsible for protecting all health information and following all compliance and behavior policies and procedures, accurate posting of all payment, adjustment, discount, and denial information in a timely manner and building security protecting unauthorized entry into employee only access areas. Performs other duties as assigned.
