We do this by: LIVING THE BRAND and leading with heart and exceeding expectations EMBRACING THE JOURNEY by accepting change and challenging others to do the same BEING AN OWNER of our career and taking responsibility for our actions LOVING TO LEARN by committing to personal growth and development     General Summary:    The CPC Associate is responsible for the support of the operational efforts of Cash Processing Center (CPC).  This position functions in a highly secured environment and requires the enforcement of strict policies and procedures to protect the assets of the Bank and the Bank’s customers.  Ensures that established policies and procedures are followed and that all CPC customers are promptly and professionally served.  This position promotes business for Bank of Guam by maintaining good customer service and cross-selling the bank’s products and referring customers to the appropriate team member for new services.   Category of Essential Functions & Task FLSA Class % Time   Manage the Relationship Non-Exempt 20% * Ensure full involvement in the department’s goals. * Engage in professional succession plans. * Engage in team bonding activities. * Engage in community activities.     Manage the Experience Non-Exempt 20% * Proactively role model our bank brand personalities and build meaningful connections with employees, customers and vendors. * Represent/participate in Bank sponsored events and community outreach programs. * Ensure involvement in department’s development, training, and cross-training. * Able to effectively approach department matters. * Consistently focus on professional growth. * Engage in creation of efficient new processes within department.       Manage the Transaction/Tasks Non-Exempt 40% * Prioritize daily tasks. * Effectively & efficiently process merchant customer deposit transactions. * Ability to balance daily cash/coin inventory. * Ability to multi task. * Ability to thoroughly understand and follow thru with department procedures. * Ability to manage scheduled time. * Performs other assigned duties/tasks to meet the needs of the department and/or business. *       Mitigate the Risk Non-Exempt 20% * Assure all procedures and policies and security controls are followed at all times. * Account for, preserve and protect all the assets and interest of the Bank. * Complete all bank mandated training       FLSA Categorization  Non-Exempt 100%     Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: * Knowledge of Bank services and products * Understanding of related legal and regulatory requirements * Familiarity with Branch functions * Strong interpersonal skills * Well organized * Ability to maintain an effective and efficient workflow * Must be Detail-oriented with basic Math skills * Security conscious * Ability to work in a security confined environment * Must have strong data entry skills and experience.  * Experience working in a fast paced environment is a plus.  * Ability to work independently * Professional, positive demeanor  * Able to lift at least 50 pounds      Education and Experience: * High School Graduate or equivalent * 1-2 years teller experience preferred  * Minimum of 6 months experience in at least one of the following: cash handling, inventory control, deposit processing, vault balancing, account reconciliation, ATM Processing, cashier experience, or teller experience  * Cash handling and balancing experience highly desired.   Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:    The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential function.  * Seeing: Must be able to read report and use computer regularly (100%) * Hearing: Must be able to hear well enough to communicate to coworkers regularly (67-100%) * Fingering/Grasping/Feeling: must be able to write, type, use phone, regularly (100%) * Lifting/Pulling/Pushing Frequently (65-100%) * Climbing/Stooping/Kneeling Occasionally (10-35%) * Seeing: Must be able to read report and use computer (100%)    Must be able to operate basic office equipment (PC, typewriter, fax, copier and telephone) as well as new and emerging technology, including but not limited to smart phones, tablet devices, digital signage and monitors.
