Description
FNZ is a global asset custodian, responsible for holding and administering client assets on behalf of platform clients, including Australian and foreign assets held with external custodians. The Cash Settlements Analyst supports the daily operations of the Settlements team, with responsibility for cash processing, controls, and the investigation of cash reconciliation breaks. The role also contributes to platform and team projects, including onboarding cash processes for new clients, supporting the delivery of automated functionality, and assisting with knowledge transfer. From a risk and compliance perspective, the position supports client funds controls and responds to market and regulatory changes across Australia and New Zealand, ensuring workflows and audit requirements are met. The responsibilities will include: Execute daily BAU cash settlement workflows in line with SLA and KPI requirements, including task rotation, controls, checklists, exception reporting and regulatory reporting. Manage team inboxes, platform case logs and escalations, ensuring cash related queries are investigated, updated and resolved efficiently. Process client funds cash transactions, including daily market settlements, ledger movements, FX trades and interest rate maintenance across supported currencies. Perform peer reviews and investigate exceptions arising from daily tasks, taking ownership of issues and providing resolution or escalation to the Team Manager as required. Maintain accurate client funds account records to support transparent WRAP administration and meet internal and external audit requirements. Prepare and deliver internal, external and client cash reporting in line with regulatory and legislative obligations across Australia and New Zealand. Contribute to testing and project activities, including platform releases, UAT, defect testing, onboarding new cash processes and supporting new client and platform deliveries. Ensure ongoing compliance with regulatory requirements, audits and internal reviews, maintain up‑to‑date procedure documentation in the Teams’ document library, and complete all mandatory training. What are we ideally looking for in a successful candidate: Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline. Previous back office or operational experience within financial services or a similar environment. Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, with experience using systems such as MS SQL Server considered an advantage. Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy in day‑to‑day work. Proven written and verbal communication skills. Ability to operate effectively in a high‑pressure, multi‑deadline environment. Demonstrated capability to analyse and resolve financial market and system‑related issues. Self‑motivated and enthusiastic, with the ability to work autonomously while contributing positively as a team player. Experience delivering projects and driving efficiency or process improvements.
