Description Description The Cashier works primarily in the foodservice operation, handling credit transactions from Abby’s customers. In addition, this position assists with the setup and serving of food from counters. No cash handling is involved; all transactions are credit card only. Shift: 10 AM to 2 PM. Job pays from $15-$16 per hour Qualifications Willingness to learn and grow; must possess maturity in judgment and behavior Maintains high standards for work areas and personal appearance Must comply with all dress code requirements Attends work and reports for scheduled shifts on time with satisfactory regularity High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience Presents self in a highly professional manner and understands that honesty and ethics are essential Ability to maintain a positive attitude Ability to communicate with co-workers and other departments with professionalism and respect Must be able to communicate clearly and professionally in English, as this is a customer-facing position Basic food-handling skills Close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus, with or without corrective lenses Ability to reach, bend, stoop, push and/or pull, and frequently lift up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift/move up to 40 pounds Responsibilities Duties include cleaning and sanitizing equipment and workstations Accurately operates the cash register/POS and completes transactions Provides support to the retail operation, including setup, maintaining supplies and products, and assisting with cleanup and close-down The general responsibilities of the position include those listed below, but Abby’s may identify other responsibilities as needed Operates a tablet and receives payments from customers or employees for goods or services, issuing receipts as needed Responsible for the accurate ringing of all sale items Always provides the highest quality of service to customers Cleans and sanitizes workstations, counters, and other equipment Complies with all Abby’s HACCP policies and procedures Complies with all company safety and risk management policies and procedures Reports all accidents and injuries in a timely manner May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned While performing the duties of this job, the employee works primarily in a controlled, temperate environment Requirements Requirements Must be able to speak, read, and understand English for customer service and workplace communication Previous customer service or foodservice experience preferred Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and accuracy Must maintain a neat, professional appearance at all times Must follow all company food safety, sanitation, and HACCP standards
