The Automotive Cashier / BDC Representative is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service by handling cashier transactions, answering inbound calls, scheduling appointments, and supporting dealership sales and service operations. This role serves as a key point of contact for customers and helps drive dealership traffic through effective communication and appointment coordination. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES   CASHIER RESPONSIBILITIES *   * Process customer payments accurately via cash, check, credit card, or financing methods. * Issue receipts, refunds, and change when applicable. * Reconcile and balance cash drawer daily. * Close repair orders and service invoices. * Maintain accurate accounting and transaction records. * Assist customers with billing questions and payment inquiries. * Ensure all transactions comply with dealership policies and procedures.   BDC RESPONSIBILITIES   * Answer inbound phone calls professionally and promptly. * Schedule and confirm service appointments. * Make outbound follow-up calls to customers regarding appointments, missed appointments, declined services, and marketing campaigns. * Maintain accurate customer records in CRM systems. * Coordinate customer communication between sales, service advisors, and management teams. * Follow dealership scripts and processes to maximize appointment show rates. * Monitor lead activity and ensure timely follow-up. * Promote dealership products, services, specials, and customer retention programs.   CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPECTATIONS   * Provide a professional, friendly, and positive customer experience at all times. * Handle customer concerns with patience and professionalism. * Maintain confidentiality of customer and dealership information. * Build strong customer relationships to encourage repeat business and referrals.
