DEALERSHIP CASHIER

Position Title: Dealership Cashier Department: Service and Parts Reports to: Office Manager or Service Manager
Job Summary: The Dealership Cashier is a vital customer-facing role responsible for providing a professional and courteous experience for all customers. This position primarily involves processing payments for vehicle service, parts, and other dealership transactions. In addition to handling financial transactions, the cashier provides administrative and clerical support to the service and parts departments and acts as a central point of contact for customers and internal staff.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in a customer service and/or cashier role, preferably within a retail or automotive environment.
  • Strong basic math skills and the ability to handle financial transactions with accuracy.
  • Proficiency with computer systems, including Point-of-Sale (POS) software, and other office applications (e.g., Microsoft Office).
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, both in person and over the phone.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • A professional appearance and demeanor.
