Description

Cashier / Customer Service Responsibilities;

  • Processing Transactions: Accurately handle cash, credit/debit card transactions, and other payment methods.
  • Customer Interaction: Greet customers warmly and assist them with their purchases.
  • Operating Cash Register: Use point-of-sale (POS) systems to process sales efficiently.
  • Handling Money: Ensure the cash drawer is balanced at the beginning and end of shifts; manage currency accurately.
  • Providing Receipts: Issue receipts or invoices to customers after transactions are completed.
  • Sales Promotions: Inform customers about ongoing promotions or discounts that may benefit them.
  • Stock Management: Restock merchandise in designated areas as needed when inventory runs low at checkout lines.
  • Assisting Customers: Help customers with inquiries regarding products and services; provide information about store policies, warranties, or return processes.
  • Maintaining Cleanliness: Keep the checkout area organized, clean, and free from clutter to create a welcoming environment for customers.
  • Product Knowledge: Stay informed about store products/services to assist effectively; understand features/benefits of items sold.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with other staff members to ensure smooth operations within the store or establishment.
  • Training New Employees: Assist in training new cashiers/customer service representatives as required by management.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: From $17.20 per year
