Position Overview: Cashier As a Cashier at AKIRA, you're more than just a point-of-sale expert-you're the final touch in delivering an unforgettable shopping experience. You'll wear many hats, supporting our sales team, managing fitting rooms, organizing the floor, and ensuring customers leave with a smile. Your attention to detail, speed, and service mindset will help drive sales and maintain a seamless in-store environment. Key Responsibilities Sales Floor & Operational Support Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the store Keep fitting rooms tidy and available for customers Process and return merchandise from try-on sessions back to the floor Assist with putting out new inventory and replenishments Support stylists by pulling product and helping manage customer needs Complete operational tasks as assigned by store leadership Ensure all assigned duties are finished before clocking out Cash Register Duties Deliver fast, friendly, and accurate checkout experiences Collect customer information for AKIRA's loyalty program (name, phone, birthday) Suggest last-minute add-ons to maximize sales at checkout Operate the register in accordance with all company policies and procedures Follow all payment, pricing, discount, and return protocols Address customer questions, feedback, or concerns professionally Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked register station What We're Looking For Excellent cash-handling skills and attention to detail Friendly and service-focused with strong interpersonal skills Honest, dependable, and team-oriented Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment Capable of lifting and organizing merchandise and shipments Benefits and Perks: AKIRA offers competitive benefits for full time employees, including Medical, Dental, Vision, Pet, Life, LTD, FSA/HSA/Dependent Care FSA, Flex Transit (CTA), 401(k), and employee discount.
