Duties

• Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs, providing excellent customer service at all times
• Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process cash, credit, and digital payments while handling cash responsibly
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of checkout areas, ensuring products are well-stocked and visually appealing
• Conduct product demos when necessary to promote new or featured items, upselling where appropriate to enhance sales opportunities
• Manage merchandise merchandising tasks such as restocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring product availability
• Provide accurate information about store products and services, including special offers and promotions
• Uphold safety standards by following proper cash handling procedures and adhering to store policies

Requirements

• Previous retail sales or cashiering experience preferred; experience with POS systems is a plus
• Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are an asset for serving diverse customers
• Demonstrated customer service skills with a positive attitude and professional phone etiquette
• Basic math skills for cash handling, making change, and processing transactions efficiently
• Excellent time management and organizational skills to prioritize tasks in a busy environment
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as stocking shelves or moving merchandise
• A proactive approach to upselling products and enhancing the customer shopping experience
