Job Summary: As a Cashier - Guest Experience at The Golden Hog, you are the final touchpoint in a premium food market experience. You will deliver warm, attentive service while processing transactions accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced, food retail environment. Beyond the register, you will support bagging, guide guests on products when needed, and help maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked front-of-house area. We focus on hospitality, quality, and flow — ensuring every guest leaves with a smooth, elevated shopping experience. Requirements Key Responsibilities: Greeting customers warmly and creating a welcoming atmosphere at the register Accurately scan, price, bag groceries, and merchandise Each customer receives only one bag; if they want additional bags, there will be a charge. Handle cash, credit, and other forms of payment properly and securely Issue receipts, refunds, or credits as needed Maintain a clean, orderly checkout area, including sanitizing surfaces and equipment Assist customers with questions about products, store layout, and promotions Support other departments when needed by stocking shelves or helping with light cleaning Follow all company policies, including those related to security, cash handling, and safety Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to ensure smooth store operations Qualifications: Previous cashier or retail experience is preferred but not required (training provided). Strong customer service skills and a positive attitude. Basic math skills and attention to detail. Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Reliability and punctuality are a must. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift to 25 lbs. Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and varied shifts as needed Schedule: The standard schedule will be 5 days per week with 2 days off, determined based on operational needs.
