Summary: Cashiers are responsible for processing cash, debit, and credit transactions at the point-of-sale system. Cashiers must be able to count cash and coin, provide change quickly and accurately, bag groceries, and assist Customers. Cashiers must possess an interest in health with an emphasis on natural and organic foods, an ability to work well under pressure, outstanding customer service, and a basic understanding of computers. A Cashier may be expected to obtain extensive knowledge of Natural Foods and some basic knowledge of Nutritional Supplements including vitamins, herbs, amino acids, sports nutrition, food supplements, and health and beauty aids. Duties & Responsibilities: Provide knowledgeable, outstanding customer service to all Guests. Operate a cash register in a fast paced environment. Have a strong interest in health food, an outgoing, engaging personality, and a working knowledge of computers. Follows and enforces “Lassen's Special Order Policy & Procedures”. Accepts payment and makes change. Wraps or bags merchandise for customers. Assist in other departments as needed. Be consistently available during regular business hours. All other duties assigned by management.
