Description Department: Business Office Position Summary: Facilitate the preparation of accurate and timely financial information. Manage the house bank, as well as station banks. Oversee daily bank deposits. Job Relationships: Employees Supervisor: General Manager Employees Supervised: none Inter-Relationships: Work closely with management and department supervisors to maintain cashiering efficiency, cash handling, credit card, and gift card systems Duties and Responsibilities General: Act as a resource and advisor to the operations staff to answer cash, credit card, and gift card questions and suggest improvements to the existing processes. Manage the house bank. Count daily cashier station banks and deposits. Make daily bank deposits. As a part of the resort leadership team make recommendations regarding policy and procedures. Work with existing staff in accounting concepts necessary for them to properly perform their assigned tasks. Perform on-going review of internal control systems to assure accuracy of financial data. Monitor departmental operations and recommend changes that promote efficiency, profitability, and a higher level of customer service. Financial Reporting: Responsibility for preparation of accurate and timely financial statements for submission to ski operations management and the parent company. Inventories: Assist the General Manager in reporting inventory, as needed. Make recommendations for standardizing the inventory system to facilitate timely and accurate inventory reporting. Other: Perform additional tasks as requested by the General Manager. Requirements Qualifications: Certification Required: previous cash handling. Experience: A well-rounded knowledge of PC hardware and applications, including management information and enterprise systems. Good written and verbal communications skills. Ability to work well as a part of the resort leadership team. A team player that is comfortable with the changing dynamics of a seasonal operation. Other Requirements: Flexibility in schedule due to seasonal nature of the job. Ability to problem solve and provide solution-oriented suggestions. Knowledge of resort offerings and guest services.
