Job Description:
Petro Canada gas station located in High Level, AB provides gasoline, midgrade, premium and diesel, local produce, confectionery, lotto and ice cream.
Petro Canada gas station located in High Level, AB is looking for 2 energetic individuals as Cashiers (NOC 65100) for our site located at 10002 Rainbow Blvd, High Level, AB T0H 1Z0.

The position offered is full-time with 8 hours a day/40 hours a week. As a Cashier, you will be responsible to oversee the Gas Station while performing all duties described below:

• Acquire readings from the Veeder Report system.
• Keeping the bathrooms, lounge, and laundry clean.
• Greet customers in an enthusiastic and welcoming manner. A warm and friendly personality is a must.
• Scanning merchandise and tabulating total payments required using an electronic cash register.
• Receive and process payments by cash, credit card, automatic debit, gift cards, and other forms of payment.
• ASK ID FOR RESTRICTED PRODUCTS. (ALL Tobacco Products, ALL Lottery)
• Scan and print lottery tickets.
• Count registers cash and perform safe drops.
• Perform property maintenance duties such as sweeping, dusting, mopping, washing, forward-facing merchandise, and keeping the store clean.
• Printing shift end reports and/or store close reports lottery and phone cards.
• Some last-minute shift availability may be required.
• Record inventory of products on store shelves.
• Paying attention to detail inside and outside of the store
• Must be a team player and a quick thinker.
• Pumps gas, washes windshields and checks fluid levels in vehicles (If required by the customer)

Minimum Full Time Job Duration:
Terms of Employment: Permanent Full-time position, 40 hours per week, minimum 12months.
Minimum Education:
Canadian high school or equivalent

Requirements:

• Availability to work a variety of hours, which may include weekends, evenings, early morning shifts and holidays.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English effectively.
• Basic math skills to handle cash.
• Minimum education requirement: High School Diploma

English Language:
Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English effectively
Minimum Experience:
12months in last 18 months, more experience will be an asset.
Minimum Salary:
$17 per hour
