POSITION SUMMARY:

The Cashier is responsible for handling all customer transactions accurately and efficiently while providing excellent service. This role involves greeting guests, processing dine-in and takeaway orders, managing payments, issuing receipts, and ensuring smooth communication between the front counter, kitchen, and delivery platforms. The cashier will also handle orders received via phone calls and online channels, ensuring accuracy and timely service.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous experience as a cashier or in a customer service role preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of POS systems and cash handling.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good problem-solving and customer-handling skills.
  • Basic knowledge of food delivery apps and online ordering systems.
  • High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and honesty.
Responsibilities
  • Greet customers warmly and provide a positive dining experience.
  • Take customer orders for dine-in, takeaway, or delivery through counter service, phone calls, and online platforms (e.g., delivery apps).
  • Accurately enter orders into the POS system and ensure details are communicated to the kitchen.
  • Manage payments (cash, card, digital wallets, vouchers, and discounts) and issue receipts.
  • Answer customer inquiries regarding menu items, promotions, and ongoing offers.
  • Confirm and process orders received through phone calls, WhatsApp, and delivery aggregators.
  • Ensure accuracy in order details, packaging, and billing before handing over to customers or delivery drivers.
  • Maintain a clean and organized cashier counter and work area.
  • Handle customer complaints or concerns politely and escalate to the supervisor/manager when necessary.
  • Assist with end-of-day cash reconciliation and report discrepancies immediately.
  • Support restaurant operations by coordinating with servers, kitchen staff, and delivery drivers to ensure smooth service.
