Job Summary: The Cashier at Rikas Hospitality plays a pivotal role in ensuring smooth and accurate financial transactions while providing outstanding customer service. This individual will be responsible for handling all payment processes, maintaining precise records, and contributing to a positive and efficient guest experience within our dynamic restaurant and/or cafe environments.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; a diploma/degree in hotel management or accounting is a plus.
  • Experience: Proven work experience as a Cashier, preferably in a fast-paced restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment.

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

  • Proficiency in operating POS systems (e.g., Micros, Opera, etc.).
  • Basic PC knowledge and familiarity with electronic equipment.
  • Strong mathematical skills for accurate cash handling and reconciliation.

SOFT SKILLS:

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Ability to handle transactions accurately and responsibly with strong attention to detail.
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to service.
  • Team player with a strong work ethic and a “hospitality-first” focused attitude.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.

Responsibilities
  • Accurately process all customer transactions using the Point-of-Sale (POS) system (e.g., Micros, Opera, or similar hospitality-specific systems).

  • Issue correct receipts, refunds, and change to guests.
  • Process returns, exchanges, and voids according to company policy.
