CASHIER REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School diploma
  • 2 years of administrative experience and/or retail sales experience
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to multitask
  • Pleasant phone etiquette
  • Ability to work independently

PREFERRED SKILLS AND ASSETS

  • Landscape product knowledge considered an asset
  • Disciplines work ethic and positive attitude
  • Basic to moderate math skill an asset
Responsibilities
  • Process sales transactions, in person, by phone/text
  • Process web orders and assist customers with online chat inquiries
  • Maintain accurate customer records and accounts
  • Create and process orders and prepare deliveries, ensure complete details are captured for customer deliveries
  • Work closely with the delivery team to ensure completion of scheduled deliveries
  • Create a positive and rewarding customer experience
  • Greet all customers with courtesy and respect
  • Answer inquiries about products and services
  • Assist contractor accounts with project quoting
  • Ensure stock inventory available for contractor/customer pickups
  • Monitor and maintain stock levels for products in retail space
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Participate and comply with Rocklands Health and Safety program
  • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor
