The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing excellent customer service while handling transactions accurately and efficiently. As a Cashier, you will be the first point of contact for customers, ensuring a positive shopping experience in our grocery store environment.

SKILLS

• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
• Proficiency in basic math for accurate transaction processing.
• Experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred.
• Ability to supervise and train junior staff when required.
• Knowledge of retail math concepts to assist with inventory management.
• Skills in upselling techniques to enhance the shopping experience for customers.
• Familiarity with product demonstrations to engage customers effectively.
• A proactive approach to maintaining a well-stocked and organized checkout area.

• Greet and welcome customers with a friendly, positive attitude.
• Accurately take customer orders, both in-person and over the phone.
• Operate the cash register and handle cash, credit card, and online payments.
• Provide information about the menu, including donut varieties, ingredients, and daily specials.
• Assist customers with any questions or concerns about their orders.
• Pack and serve donuts and other baked goods, ensuring accuracy and quality.
• Maintain a clean and organized front-of-house area, including the counter, seating, and display cases.
• Ensure customer-facing areas are well-stocked with napkins, condiments, and other supplies.
• Address customer complaints or issues professionally, escalating to management when needed.
