 Job purpose  Accept orders from customers and payment for customer orders at the point of sale on behalf of the company. Fill drinks, bag food and present to customer. Keep front area clean. Fill station supplies as needed.     This position is non-exempt.     Essential Functions  To accomplish this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform, with or without reasonable accommodation, each essential function satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to help enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential function so of the job.     ● Handle customer’s payment, provide accurate change and receipt.  ● Count currency in drawer and maintain accuracy and accountability  ● Ensure there exists a correlation between cash owed and actual amount paid by clients.  ● Assist to resolve currency shortage or overage problems  ● Assist in compiling cash and other financial reports at the end of the shift/day.  ● Maintain store cleanliness according to industry standards  ● Package orders and present them to client, provide receipt.  ● Stock the store with all required supplies including but not limited to condiments, napkins, straws, bags.     Qualifications     Prior cashier experience a plus.     Qualifications include:  ● Associates degree, high school diploma or GED certificate   ● Ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends  ● Bilingual is a plus  ● Ability to count, add, subtract, divide and organize  ● Exceptional interpersonal communication skills  ● Dependable and reliable  ● Must be eligible to work in the United States.     Working conditions  Work environment can be hectic and fast paced. Cashier is subjected to various temperatures for long hours. Must be available days, nights, weekends, and holidays based on business needs.     Physical requirements  ● Required to work on your feet and stand for 8 hours a day.   ● Pick up 10 lbs or less on a regular base.  ● Ability to perform front of the house functions when needed.  ● Required prolonged standing, bending, stooping, twisting, lifting products and supplies weighing 10 lbs or less, repetitive hand and wrist motion.  ● Operate computers, phones, fax machines, point of sale registers     Direct reports     Manager  
Responsibilities
