OVERVIEW

The Gardens Casino is seeking experienced Poker Tournament Floor Person who are team oriented and thrive in a collaborative environment to help oversee the operation of our poker tournaments. The ideal candidate will ensure that all tournament procedures are followed with professionalism, efficiency, and fairness. This position plays a critical role in maintaining the integrity and flow of our events, supporting both players and dealers in a fast-paced environment.

EXPERIENCE

  • minimum one year experience dealing tournaments.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with diverse guests.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks as required.
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn are essential for success in this role.
  • Must work well under pressure and be able to multi-task.
  • Position requires a team-oriented attitude and approach
  • Flexible schedule is required for this position.

Responsibilities
  • Handle player registrations re-entries, and late entries efficiently.
  • Ability to set up and break down tournaments from start to end including the preparation of tables, dealer down cards, and racking chips.
  • Assist with the live operation of poker tournaments, including player seating, tournament clocks, and payouts.
  • Monitor games to ensure compliance with casino policies and TDA (Tournament Directors Association) rules.
  • Resolve player disputes and make impartial consistent decisions in accordance with house rules.
  • Coordinate with the RC to maintain accurate amounts of tables needed for each daily event to ensure the tournament flows.
  • Report any issues or incidents to management immediately to ensure guest safety and satisfaction.
