Description Summary: Weld operator to weld repair aerospace magnesium parts and aluminum sand castings. Actual welding time will encompass approximately 20 – 30 hours per week. This job also requires the prepping of parts to be welded, welding and various other duties within Chicago Magnesium. Responsibilities: Review & inspect all material being used, building self-inspection into everything you make/process Complete, date and sign-off on all routing information; apply weld stamp where applicable; input required production Data/reporting May machine and prepare castings for weld plugs & plug castings Machine excess stock from castings with milling machine Wear proper safety equipment; keep work area clean and safe at all times. Accurate scanning in and out on jobs and the proper reporting of processed quantities Report any problems or discrepancies to immediate management Benefit information available on company website.
