About This Expression of Interest The University of Queensland Business School is seeking expressions of interest from Tutors and Facilitators to be engaged on a casual basis. Casual Academics at The University of Queensland Business School play a significant part in the overall student experience. As such, our successful candidates will participate in the education of undergraduate and/or postgraduate students within the key discipline areas of Accounting, Finance, Business Information Systems, Management, Strategy & Entrepreneurship, International Business, Marketing and Tourism within the School by preparing and delivering tutorials, marking assessment items, conducting student consultations and fostering a positive learning environment. Facilitators are also being sought to assist in activity based seminars, tutorials and workshops. These positions are located at our picturesque St Lucia campus, renowned as one of Australia’s most attractive university campuses, and located just 7km from Brisbane’s city centre. Bounded by the Brisbane River on three sides, and with outstanding public transport connections, our 114-hectare site provides a perfect work environment – you can enjoy the best of both worlds: a vibrant campus with the tradition of an established university. Our Ideal Candidate As a Casual Academic, you'll have a minimum of an undergraduate degree, with a minimum GPA of 5.0, enrolment in a relevant postgraduate program (coursework or HDR), and/or relevant Industry experience ideally within a business or related discipline. Your skills in teaching will be demonstrable and effective, with teaching evaluations (or other evidence) to support your claims. You'll be proficient in using eLearning systems, such as Blackboard, or are capable of swiftly learning new software. Experience in public speaking and leading small groups will be highly regarded, plus a proven ability to work autonomously and meet deadlines. You must have ongoing unrestricted work rights in Australia to apply for this opportunity.
