Hawkesbury District Health Service is a teaching hospital in Windsor NSW, providing acute, community and allied health services for the local community and surrounding districts. The service provides 24-hour emergency, medical, surgical, diagnostic, maternity, neonatal, paediatric, palliative, intensive and coronary care services.
We are seeking a reliable and adaptable individual to provide clerical and administrative relief across both clinical and non-clinical areas of the hospital. This role is essential in maintaining continuity of service during periods of staff absence due to sick leave or annual leave, ensuring that patient outcomes remain a top priority. The successful candidate will deliver timely and efficient support, meeting key deadlines and contributing to the smooth operation of hospital services.

Responsibilities
  • The ability to work constructively, cooperatively and efficiently with both internal and external client
  • A high level of keyboard, PC, Database and general clerical skills, attention to detail
  • Demonstrated high level of organisational skills, with ability to meet tight timeframes and prioritise workload
  • Ability to work varied shifts, including evenings, nights, public holidays and weekends
  • Well developed written and verbal communication skills with experience working in a networked PC environment
  • Previous experience in similar Hospital or Health facility-based position
  • Switchboard and reception experience for a large organisation
  • Demonstrated ability in the use of tact, diplomacy, confidentiality and discretion
