Your role at St John of God Subiaco Hospital Located within St John of Subiaco Hospital, our Short Stay Unit operates four dynamic theatres and manages dedicated admissions, discharge, and PACU areas. We are seeking experienced Casual Anaesthetic Registered Nurses and PACU Registered Nurses to join our close-knit and supportive team. As a Casual PACU Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering a high standard of patient care in a safe and effective manner during the post-operative recovery phase. As a Casual Anaesthetic Registered Nurse, you will work closely with our highly experienced team of clinicians and Visiting Medical Officers (VMOs), playing a vital role in providing exceptional, patient-centred care throughout the immediate pre-operative and intra-operative stages. These casual positions offer excellent flexibility, allowing you to balance your work and personal commitments. A variety of morning and afternoon shifts are available across our Monday to Saturday operating schedule. The Position: Deliver outstanding patient care, ensuring patients are treated with dignity and respect. Work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to provide optimal outcomes for patients. Be a patient advocate, ensuring that their rights are upheld and their voices are heard. Promote a welcoming, compassionate environment for patients and their families. Demonstrate excellence in clinical practice, ensuring the highest standards of care are met. Assist in managing patient flow and provide pre and post-operative care. You will hold current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse, supported by previous experience in anaesthetics and/or PACU. To succeed in this role, you will demonstrate excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to delivering exceptional patient care. You will approach every interaction with compassion, initiative, and professionalism, and contribute effectively within a collaborative team environment.
