PRIMARY DETAIL Casual chefs needed to support kitchen operations across venues, preparing quality food in a collaborative team at Lakeside Hotel. THE ROLE Lakeside Hotel and Conference Centre is currently seeking casual Chefs to join our growing Food and Beverage team. This will be a great opportunity to work within a strong team in a fast-paced diverse culinary operation. Reporting to the Executive Chef, you will be responsible for working with a team of chefs and cooks to deliver the Kitchen’s operational and delivery needs on all menus at Lachlan’s Restaurant, Brew Café, and events & catering. Shifts will vary, and you will need be able to work a flexible schedule to meet the business needs, including on public holidays and weekends. ABOUT YOU You are a highly motivated hands-on individual who is able to work effectively with our food and beverage team to assist in achieving high-standards in food preparation and maintain customer satisfaction levels, and are able to demonstrate the following key criteria: Prepare and plate food aligned to set menu and allergy requirements for banquets, a la carte service and/ or cocktail events across Lakeside Hotel & conference centre venues Proven track record of high performance in a fast-paced environment Maintain high standards and a thorough understanding of HACCP food Safety regulations with Food Hygiene Qualifications Demonstrated experience working in a high-volume kitchen, restaurant or café, or a catering background Sound knowledge of WH&S requirements and impeccable presentation and hygiene standards Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a diverse team environment Availability to work over a seven-day roster Legally entitled to work in Australia Lakeside Hotel & Conference centre is an award-winning venue situated on the picturesque grounds of Macquarie University at North Ryde.
