Casual Commis Chef - Australian Hotel & Brewery

About the role

Join our kitchen brigade as a Commis Chef and kick-start your culinary career in a busy pub environment. You'll work across all sections of the kitchen, building your skills and confidence under the guidance of experienced chefs. This is a hands-on role suited to someone with a passion for food who thrives in a fast-paced, team-driven setting.

What you'll be doing

• Preparing mise en place and assisting with food production across all kitchen sections
• Supporting the team during service - plating, garnishing, and ensuring dishes leave the pass to standard
• Maintaining a clean, organised workstation and following correct food storage and labelling procedures
• Assisting with stock rotation, deliveries, and end-of-shift cleaning
• Complying with food safety and WHS requirements at all times

What you'll bring

• Previous experience in a kitchen or hospitality setting.
• A strong work ethic and willingness to learn on the job.
• Good understanding of food hygiene and safety practices.
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
