THIS IS A FLEXIBLE WORKER ROLE, COVERING VARIOUS SHIFTS AROUND A DESIGNATED AREA. TYPICALLY SHIFTS AVAILABLE ARE MONDAY - FRIDAY TO COVER SICKNESS AND ABSENCE. SHIFT TIMES WILL VARY DEPENDING ON THE LOCATION THAT REQUIRES COVERING AT THE TIME.

AS PART OF YOUR ROLE, YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Provide exceptional customer service, welcoming and guiding court users.
  • Monitoring premises and visitors via CCTV and x-ray machines, together with other security checks such as using hand-held metal detectors on court users and bag searches on arrival.
  • Patrolling and securing access to buildings and satellite buildings, keeping in contact with the control room with the use of hand-held radios.
  • Responding to panic alarm buttons in Judges’ rooms, courts and offices.
  • Responding to any security issues within the complex and recording and reporting details of those incidents
