JOIN CQUNIVERSITY AS A CASUAL FITNESS TRAINER

CQU Gym, located on the Rockhampton North campus, is a multi-functional facility providing access to an indoor gym, outdoor court and tennis courts. Learn more about the CQU Gym here.
We are currently seeking experienced, friendly and highly motivated Fitness Trainers to join our team on a casual basis. This is an exciting opportunity to share your fitness expertise with a diverse range of CQU Gym members.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering safe and effective exercise programs tailored to individual client needs.
  • Leading engaging group fitness classes.
  • Providing initial assessment and initial one-off programs for clients.
  • Supporting clients to achieve their health and wellness goals.
  • Building positive relationships and maintaining strong member engagement.
  • Assisting with day-to-day business operations of the gym including maintaining clean and organised equipment and spaces.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Certificate III in Fitness (minimum) and experience in a similar role.
  • Proven ability to deliver effective training programs and classes in a gym setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a team-oriented approach and focus on customer service.
  • Understanding of WHS obligations and commitment to safe work practices.
  • Proficient in MS Office and gym management systems.
  • Certificate IV in Fitness (desirable).
