General Information The Cowichan Valley Regional District is now accepting applications for casual Food & Beverage I opportunities in the Cowichan Lake Recreation Division within the Community Services Department. Reporting to the Food & Beverage Coordinator, the Food & Beverage I is responsible for performing: cashiering, dish washing, bussing, banquet worker, concession attendant, and prep cook activities. Provides services to patrons and ensures their satisfaction. Qualifications Minimum completion of Grade 9 or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience Food Safe Basic Certificate Serving It Right First Aid Level 1 with CPR Experience working in a food & beverage environment (kitchen/concession) would be an asset. View the full job description listing all the job requirements Hours of Work As this is a casual opportunity, there are no guaranteed hours of work. Due to the nature of the position, the successful candidate must be prepared to work a flexible variety of shifts including days & evenings on weekdays & weekends. Salary This non-union casual opportunity has a wage range in two steps - $20.22 - $21.40 per hour plus 17.2% pay in lieu of vacation, benefits and statutory holidays, as per the Non-Union Wage Scale (2025 rates).
