GardaWorld is currently hiring on-call/casual Detention Guards for the RCMP Detachment in Campbellton, New Brunswick. The position also involves occasional travel to Bathurst and St. Quentin.

QUALIFICATIONS OF A DETENTION CENTRE SECURITY GUARD

• Policing / correctional training or 3+ years of security experience
• Permanent Canadian resident for a minimum of 5 years.
• Have a clear criminal background.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Federal Reliability Security Clearance status.
• Availability for on-call assignments at any time.
• Valid First Aid & CPR Level C.

• Watch and assist with processing of detainees
• Assist with intake, searches, and release procedures
• Conduct wellness checks every 15 minutes
• Identify and respond to medical or behavioral concerns
• Maintain accurate logs and complete incident reports
• Respond to alarm activations and perform on-site inspections
• Collaborate with law enforcement during serious or escalated situations
