Seeking an experienced casual driver with clean driving records and/ or possess a RAIC- DA pass. CLS Catering Services (part of LSG Sky Chef & Cathay Pacific) offers you the opportunity to be part of the inner workings of an exciting industry in a diverse and dynamic environment

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Comprises all those Employees who, in addition to operating high-lift vehicles for the purpose of loading and off-loading galleys and supplies at the aircraft and Company Flight Kitchens shall assist with the off-loading and organizing of the inbound equipment and shall ensure the vehicles are serviced to keep them in a clean and operative condition and keep their work area clean. In addition, a High-Lift Vehicle Driver may be assigned to perform duties in cold holding, pick-up and delivery by vans and duties in the Bond Room and/or Galley Building.

Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Valid driver’s license Class 5
  • Have a current RAIC-DA pass or must be able to meet RAIC-DA security clearance requirements and exam for ramp access
  • Must have a good driving record – present driver’s abstract
  • Written and verbal fluency is required
  • Effective problem solving skills.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal, communication skills
  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Excellent customer relations skills
  • Good radio etiquette
  • Must be flexible with hours of work and adapt to schedule changes to accommodate operational requirements
  • Must be able to take direction from supervisory staff
  • Must be able to adapt to company directives and guideline
Responsibilities
  • Monitor aircraft registration gate and airline arrival and departure time information for updates in order to prioritize work assignments
  • Perform and record vehicle safety pre-trip inspection checks on a daily basis
  • Check fuel level of vehicles and refuel company vehicles as required
  • Coordinate pick-up loading of flights with Customer Service Coordinators from cooler
  • Loads hi-lift vehicles and transports all company or airline products and equipment to and from warehouses, cargo facilities, aircraft or other locations as required following procedures
  • Load all related airline galley equipment and supplies onto and off of the appropriate airline aircraft using the proper cabin and belly stowage locations
  • Guide other drivers and their vehicles into and out of aircraft galley door and belly locations as required
  • Bag and store wet ice cubes
  • Report immediately, all defects on vehicles to the Operations Supervisory Staff when they are detected
  • Complete all driver reports and associated duties in a professional and courteous manner with safety and customer satisfaction in mind
